Active Home is such a great addition!

59:35
Do these integrate physical education standards? Meaning are they attempting to address BOTH science and PE standards?

01:00:29
Some have physical education standards…not all. But they could.

01:03:55
That was great info -- thank you Eloise, Erika, and Olivia!

01:04:18
I see that Active Academics is focused on K-8. Is there anything in the works for high school aged students?

01:04:20
Thank you for the question Risto - had the same wondering

01:04:28
True cross-curricular integration that works with physical activity should also include the physical educator at your school (my biased opinion as a teacher educator in health and PE).It also needs more research. In our research, although we advocate for integration of subjects with PE and PA, there’s really not a lot of research that supports that. Many integration activities just measure added steps or physical activity levels. We haven’t really measured the effects of integration on cognitive factors robustly. Here are two papers, (one with Janelle who is also on the call) if you need access you can also find them on ResearchGate.https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/pdf/10.1080/00336297.2016.1150864?casa_token=tBnPOWPqLIsAAAAA%3Arsu-6gGnf7Owaya8aVJehQ5I-lJFkurlZrwE5UhLSnLCeVrpXuOh6IHRezSjqt3QwUOrUqqCGZofWg&https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S088303552031795X?casa_token=TrS4JOzwC8AAAAAA:TH6UEj8EQ8qIFM9t_IvJCBnag68Uo56WMMFsJ2wSewDv2cJqC6GL8jWZETOmIhkKmN0HoffY3rU
